S.W.A.G

(Students With Academic Goals)

SWAG (Students With Academic Goals) is a coed event for 6th – 8th grade student athletes, non student athletes, and their parents or guardians. The purpose of this event is to equip our parents with all the information necessary to prepare our youth for academic success post high school. Our presenters will cover a variety of topics with our parents such as; college preparedness, high school academic goal setting, how to research scholarships,  early signs of mental health, how to support a youth with illegal substances, and early prevention resources and more….

Our youth participants will engage with real mentors for a special life skills institute bootcamp. Their bootcamp will focus on transitioning from middle school to high school, navigating high school, wise decision making skills, recognizing peer pressure, the importance of standardized tests, and why a college education is necessary. After the life skills institute bootcamp youth will partake in an on field 45-minute strength and conditioning training session followed by a lunch for all participants
